I like the look of these lamps, though the color of the shades isn't white or off white as it appears to be on the laptop or computer, but rather a tan color. That was somewhat disappointing to me, but they still appear good and will still work with my decor. They had been quickly and easy to assemble and add a good touch towards the living room. My greatest dissappointment was to come across out that one of the table lamps was cracked by means of the middle and has a chip out of 1 corner on the base. I looked into returning just the broken lamp, but due to the fact it was sold as a combo lamp pack you have to send the whole factor back which means repackaging everything. That proves to be extra trouble than it can be worth. If you have ever tried refolding and repackaging a couch slip cover so it will fit back in its tiny, small bag you realize the kind of trouble I'm talking about. Or if you have taken apart a power tool and spent the rest of the day attempting to put it back together appropriately you get the picture. Considering that the lamp does have a decent solid center inside the broken exterior along with the electrical parts nonetheless work, I decided to attempt and fix it myself. Bondo and brown paint. Once it is actually fixed i might be pleased using the set. My suggestions to any purchasers of this item would be to attempt and examine the lamps as a great deal as probable before removing them from their plastic bags and foam cradles so that for those who find harm you may a lot more very easily return the complete kit.
