I purchased this lamp and a further black 1 for our bedroom. This was an excellent obtain! It really is bigger than I expected, but it works properly for me since I've two distinctive night stands and mine is larger than typical; so ensure that to evaluation the measurements. The bottom (exactly where the lamp is mounted) is black, but the base is usually a dark brown with contrast stitching. The shade is really nice and soft also.
