These lamps were Considerably nicer than I had expected. The base of the lamps is sturdy and nicely colored- it isn't hollow nor does it feel cheap. The packaging was fantastic, and kept the shades in superior condition- not a single dent or something. I loved that the shades didn't need to be put up, like other packaged lamps. The box was large, but the shades had been already shaped and ready to go. I wish they had a tint to them, and weren't so plain white, but hey- for the price, the lamps are brilliant. I extremely recommend.
